Leavers Assembly and BBQ
On Thursday of last week we had our annual leavers assembly where we waved off seven students . All were given a prom photo from the night before and sung out to “So Strong by the whole school” . We wish each and every leaver the best of luck in which ever path they have chosen.
M&M Theatrical Productions performing Oliver Twist
M&M Theatrical Productions put on an amazing performance of Oliver Twist in our school hall on Friday . We were transported to Victorian London and were immersed in the Classic Charles Dickens story, with amazing songs and set designs to keep us all enthralled. The pupils sat so well throughout it all from Acorns all the way to Post 16! We were all so engrossed that I didn’t have time to take any photos!

Also, a thank you to our wonderful Friends Of Mountjoy School, who funded the remainder of the cost so that all students could enjoy the performance with no cost to families.

Pride Month at Mountjoy
On Friday 21st June we celebrated Pride Month at Mountjoy. Pride month is about acceptance, equality, and celebration and raising awareness of issues affecting the LGBTQIA+ community. We have our own group the ‘ Sun and Moon Group’ who wanted a day of colour so students and staff wore different colours of the rainbow.

Masonic Fishing Trip
A small group of students were treated exceptionally well at Higher Kingcombe Fishing lakes today. The Masonic Fishing Charity supported and entertained them all day. Every student caught at least one fish. Some were big and some were tiny. It didn’t matter because we all congratulated each other on their achievements. All the students and staff were treated to a lovely BBQ for lunch before a presentation where all the students were given a medal and a certificate. A great day out!
