Juniper Class – Mission Statement
Intent To support students to be calm, relaxed and able to self-manage, allowing them to learn key skills and be as independent as possible.
Implementation MSI Curriculum & MAPS Using daily routines, therapeutic approaches and creative activities that help to equip students with skills for life.
Impact To live a happy life that has purpose and value in their local community.
Key Stages 1 and 2
Pupils in Juniper follow a MSI (multi-sensory) curriculum which allows all of their learning experiences to be meaningful, targeted and functional. We work with a range of professionals (OT, Physiotherapists, SALT etc) to build individual programmes to use within their individual curriculums. Pupils in Juniper will be given structure and systems to enable them to access all learning opportunities.
Juniper’s visit to West Bay and meeting a special friend

Juniper walk
Some of Juniper had a lovely walk today in the sunshine. We enjoyed looking at the shops in Beaminster and going into CO-OP to buy some chocolate biscuits!
