Juniper Class Washingpool Farm Visit

Juniper Class Washingpool Farm Visit

Juniper Class visited Washingpool Farm today, courtesy of Discover Farming. We had a great time seeing the tractors at work, feeding the pigs, collecting eggs and visiting the Devon red Cows,  We explored the very hot polytunnels to find out how some of our food is grown: we smelled and tasted a range of herbs and vegetables and even took some home with us. Of course, we ended the day with a trip to the amazing farmshop and bought strawberries and biscuits to share with our friends back at school.

Joshua Denning Pride of Britain Awards

Joshua Denning Pride of Britain Awards

All at Mountjoy would like to wish Joshua good luck at the Pride of Britain Awards tonight!

Joshua is a regional winner for fundraising – collecting and supporting the RNLI in Lyme Regis, Lyme Regis Regatta and Royal British Legion, so far raising over fifty thousand pounds for good causes.

Joshua attended Mountjoy School from the age of 4 through to 19. Even as a young child he was kind and generous and it left a hole when he moved into adulthood.
It gives us all at Mountjoy an enormous sense of pride and our pupils loved watching Josh’s TV appearance. What a man! All of our best wishes Josh, you are a hero.
